I came in with lower back pain that had been going on for over a year. I had never had acupuncture. Shane was very professional, knowledgeable and was willing to answer any questions I had along the way. After a few sessions my pain had decreased dramatically and continues to get better with every session.
Shane is a godsend!!! I've been plagued with chronic pain from a cervical fusion nearly 20 years ago. Most recently having 2 low back surgeries a little over a year apart, and another slight low back herniation steming from a fractured tailbone.
A long-overdue review—Shane is amazing and an exceptionally competent problem solver. He has treated multiple areas of my body, and while some issues required patience, he has successfully addressed every concern time and again. He has a remarkable ability to find exactly the right muscles and nerves to treat.

What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
