From the reviews

I needed to relieve some pain from a whiplash injury and a low back injury. I chose Advanced Therapeutic Massage for the name. I really needed someone that is knowledgeable with treating injuries and not just a fluff relaxing massage. I was not disappointed. Erin really knows whats she's doing.

In a word, Erin is amazing. Her approach is professional, methodical, thorough and thoughtful. I've seen many therapists but she's the only one who sits down, discusses concerns and takes careful notes before the session even starts. For the past 20? years I had a mid back spasm that would not go away.

★★★★★ — Vicki, May 2020

Erin is amazing. Went for my second massage with her. She is very professional and personable. She takes detailed notes for you client chart (which I def appreciate!) and follows up with you about health things you've mentioned in sessions before. She finds all the little muscle knots you had no idea were even there!

★★★★★ — Kelly, Oct 2022

Erin is a great therapist. She really wants to help you. I came to her because of the pain I have in my back and legs due to 3 herniated discs and arthritis. If you want a relaxing massage she is the person to go to.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
