From the reviews
Philip Brown is about as authentic as they come. Just meeting Philip on a street or a porch - you can't help but be blown away by this guy that not only is really great at what he does- he truly embodies a love and excitement for his work.
Philip is a consummate healer, blending his passion, skill & innovation to meet the needs of his clients. My work with him over an 8 month period brought clear results. His background in a variety of healing modalities is vast as is his compassion, intelligence and humor.
I entered treatment with Philip Brown during a time of increased physical and emotional stress. Through observation and by carefully listening to my complaints, he was able to develop a personalized acupuncture program.
I have found Phil to be very thoughtful and caring in his practice of acupuncture. Through his sharing his own experiences of this healing modality, I found myself relaxed much more receptive to receiving. That for me is imperative. Very wonderful quality!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
