From the reviews
To say Gina has a gift would be an understatement. She is in-tune with to each client's individual needs. My husband, myself and now my daughter are her biggest fans. He battles severe inflammation, she is an athlete with functional scoliosis and I have been battling a heel spur.
Regina from Retreat Bodyworks is nothing short of incredible. She has all the bells and whistles you could want in a massage therapist— from hot or cold eye covers to complimentary snacks, chapstick, or hair scrunchies on your way out.
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing an incredibly rejuvenating massage session with Gina at Retreat Bodywork, and I must say, it was truly exceptional. Her technique is both therapeutic and soothing, and she has a remarkable ability to locate and release tension in areas I didn't even realize were tense.
After having out-patient surgery on my knee 5 days ago, I am so glad I had an hour massage scheduled with Gina. Not moving around like I normally do and my body ridding itself from the effects of anesthesia, a massage to bring circulation and muscle tension relief was just what I needed.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
