From the reviews
This is THE place to go for physical therapy. All the receptionists are patient and kind. The facility is clean and welcoming. I rotated between seeing Ashley and Andrew for my treatments. They were both extremely professional, knowledgeable, encouraging and personable.
Great place for my physical therapy sessions! I have Multiple Sclerosis and after twenty years living with this condition I lost mobility in my legs completely and became full time wheelchair user. And that's why it's so important for me to get out of my chair and continue to exercise.
A very strong experience with Restorative Therapy for physical therapy. The location is beside Virginia Beach General Hospital on First Colonial, parking is plentiful and recently repaved. The area is kept tidy. Signage is by the road and door, but a bit difficult to locate the first time.
I've had such a good experience with Restorative Therapy Company. I've been to several other Physical Therapy groups over the years for various issues and RTC has been the best for me. Franny is my Physical Therapist and she is wonderful.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
