From the reviews
Alexa was super cute & cheeky yet professional. I think she’s adorable. Her studio is everything you’d expect & more from an acupuncture studio. Moody, relaxing, and great energy. She created a treatment plan based off my personal intake form, which included helping me sleep!
Alexa came highly recommended by my chiropractor following a car accident (T-bone/hit and run). I had a concussion, lateral whiplash, a cervical sprain and all of the accompanying symptoms (short term memory issues, imbalanced cycle, nerve pain, muscle pain, stress, taxed CNS, disrupted sleep…).
I came to Dr. Alexa after suffering from an intractable headache for over a week and had been recommended to try acupuncture. The online booking system made it so easy to book an appt (on New Year's Day, no less). Dr. Alexa was so kind and the environment of her office is so calming.
I have always wanted to try acupuncture and after hearing about how it great it is from a friend I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I took a chance and found the right practitioner the first time. Alexa is amazing! Each session is tailored to the unique individual.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
