From the reviews

Martita takes her time to listen to concerns and life changes. She then will use the technique that best suits your needs. She is uniquely talented unlike any other massage therapist I’ve been to. I’d highly recommend her!

★★★★★ — Tina, Sep 2024

I had the pleasure of meeting Martita by chance through a mutual friend. Within an hour or two of knowing her, she pulled me aside and delicately asked me a specific question about something in my past that no one would have any way of knowing about. It was then that I knew that I was meant to work with her!

★★★★★ — Megan, Nov 2023

I have been seeing Martita for about two months or so, and she is very gifted! A very genuine person and really knows how to find the root of the issue your dealing with. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants a high quality massage with a high quality professional!

★★★★★ — Michelle, May 2021

It’s wonderful! Martita is an amazing massage therapist among other things. She is concerned about your overall well being and will work with your aches/pains. I always leave her feeling relaxed and rejuvenated!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
