From the reviews
I truly cannot say enough good things about Restoration Health Acupuncture & Nutrition and Dr. Lauren. After only a few months of care, my life has completely changed. I came to her barely able to function—literally crawling in pain from severe back issues and genuinely believing surgery was inevitable.
I can't express how much I love Restoration Health Acupuncture. Dr Lauren is one of the best practitioners I have ever worked with. She is so kind and patient and understanding as well as super knowledgeable.
Dr. Lauren is the best! I can not recommend Dr. Lauren enough. She took the time to truly understand my concerns and customized each session to my needs. I came in struggling with back pain and she cured me after just two sessions. The environment of the clinic is modern, clean, and relaxing.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Kaplan for about six weeks now, and the experience has exceeded my expectations in every way that matters. From the moment you walk in, Alex at the front desk makes you feel welcome and at ease, and Dr. Kaplan creates a calm, thoughtful environment where you truly feel listened to and cared for.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
