From the reviews
Don't know where to start nor how to be brief. I LOVE EVERYTHING about Resilience Physical Therapy. The staff consists of two Doctors of Physical Therapy, so no assistants would be working on me. They were referred to me by a doctor who graduated from Des Moines University several years ago.
I was referred to Dr. Cody Walkup by my primary care physician after experiencing hip and lower back pain off and on for several years. I’ve had an extremely tight muscle in my quad causing me pain for a long time that Dr. Walkup treated with dry needling.
I cannot say enough good things about Dr Sam Farrell. From day one, he has been incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. He truly listens and takes the time to understand what is going on, and he never gives up on finding new approaches or exercises that work best for me.
We've been going to Resilience Physical Therapy for over a year and both Dr. Cody and Dr. Sam have been incredible for my active, sports-driven kids. Whether it was recovery, injury prevention, or keeping them in peak condition during intense seasons, they always knew exactly what they needed.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
