I went in a bit skeptical because it looked more like a chain than a boutique spa, but I was completely wrong. The experience was intimate, professional, and far exceeded my expectations. Honestly, I’ve had massages at high-end resort spas, and this was better. We had Tom and WeWe, and they were exceptional.
I sent my 2 cousins here as a bachelorette gift. Their couples massage was good but one cousin was called “the fat one” in Chinese by the masseuse, unbeknownst that my cousin understands Chinese. Maybe they should discuss the clients in a better manner and privately. Other than that, they enjoyed the massage.
Lisa easily found all my tender spots and was able to focus on those areas. The pressure she used was perfect. Hard enough to help but not so hard that it hurt too much. The place was nice and clean. It was also easy to get an appointment. Highly recommended.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
