From the reviews

I can't recommend Marcy highly enough! This was my first experience with Ashiatsu and cupping, and I loved it! I've felt so much more relaxed in the last couple days and could feel the release when she was massaging as well. Finally found someone who can really do deep tissue massage!

You very rarely run across a business where everything about it is truly outstanding but Remedy Barefoot Massage is one of those businesses. The Ashiatsu (barefoot) massage is unlike any massage I have ever had in at least 20 years of getting massages.

This is a massage like no other you’ll ever experience. Marcy is a master of her craft! I have chronic neck pain and can attest that she’s a miracle worker. For anyone hesitant because this isn’t the “traditional” massage please don’t let that deter you.

★★★★★ — Jamie, Nov 2022

Advanced Ashiatsu with Monica is by far the best massage I have ever had. No other massage therapist has ever been able to work out the knots and muscle tightness like Monica. She is a master at her craft, listens to me about where my problems areas are, and offers advice about how to loosen those areas up.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
