From the reviews
I’ve been going to see Paula for about 14months now as my new doctor recommended cupping therapy would really help me for my severe scoliosis and back pain. I noticed this location offers cupping and since seeing Paula regularly around every 4wks my spine is slowly shifting to more center!
I highly recommend all of the massage therapists here, with a special recommendation to Angela. I deal with several chronic health conditions, and she is always willing to take on a challenge if I'm experiencing new or different pain.
Kayla Weaver was my massage therapist today and I could not have had a better experience! I have been here before and had great massages but she really was phenomenal! She is very personable and professional. She listened to what I wanted to work on and checked in to make sure the pressure was always comfortable.
I have experienced various styles of massage from massage therapists all over the United States, locally here in the Toledo Area, and even Internationally. I frequently need to attend regular sessions per doctors order but finding an excellent massage therapist can be challenging, yet vital.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
