From the reviews
Refresh is by far is the absolute best! I was fortunate enough to meet Dr. Stephanie when I tore my knee apart. Dr Steph and her therapists got me back to being active and pain free. They are all very knowledgeable and really care about their patients health.
I was diagnosed with TMJ and Fibromyalgia 2 years ago, and it has been a tough journey, but the team at Orthopedic Physical Therapy Services has really helped me. I was a patient at Homer Chiropractic, and it was recommended that I go to physical therapy to help with the pain I was experiencing.
I struggled with a shoulder injury for over 3 months before I sought the help of the staff at Orthopedic Physical Therapy Services. I am completely satisfied with my progression and feel I was given excellent instruction on exercises I can continue at home to avoid a relapse and continue to become stronger.
Orthopedic Physical Therapy is a wonderful, family-owned business with the most caring and dedicated staff in the world! If you are in pain, and you're not sure what to do, please call them. The environment there is so friendly and helpful, you will be glad you made the decision to start on the road to recovery!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
