From the reviews
I have personally been a patient of CT's since 2004 (16 years!). In addition, I have referred cancer patients and psychotherapy patients to him as well. CT is a rare combination of accomplished practitioner of acupuncture and other forms of Chinese medicine; a fine teacher and mentor; an author who can take…
CT is great! Very personable, prompt, and intuitive. I hadn't had acupuncture before coming to Redwood Spring, and I'm glad this is where I chose to start my journey. I would recommend CT to anyone looking to explore the healing potential of Chinese medicine.
CT is a wonderful practitioner. He is knowledgeable, kind, and caring.
Take it from me, I've been to many practices throughout the city of Salem; anything from athletic training to yoga. As a patient, & in some cases an employee, I've never had a more positive & encouraging experience, & that's not even including the dentist!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
