I want to relay my experience with Clovis & acupuncture and the myriad of issues I had including inverted vertebrae, light headiness, arthritis throughout my body which has led to many more issue within my body.
Clovis is a very talented and patient oriented acupuncturist. My mother has osteoarthritis from many years and she has taken different medications with only limited pain relief. My mother felt improvement in her pain from the first time she was treated by Clovis.
Clovis is an excellent acupuncturist. I have been doing acupuncture for many years. It is the only thing that helped me while untreated and undiagnosed for five years with Lyme. I am now finally healed after 8 months of treatment. But acupuncture has become part of my health regimen.
Clovis is an excellent acupuncturist! He takes the time to speak with you and talk about the treatment you've received prior in order to fine tune it and help you have the best treatment you can. Having had a torn plantar fascia I was having difficulty regaining mobility after being immobilized.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
