From the reviews
As an extreme introvert, I crave an intimate experience, especially with my recovery. Dr. Amy, Brett, and Shaia are a dream team! I feel like they are family, and although this process has been challenging and at many times painful, they have given me light at the end of the tunnel, which I’m finally seeing.
Pure Rehab is the Best place to go to get best results with physical therapy. Im a Registered Nurse with 23 years of hospital experience in Acute care and I have high expectations when it comes to medical care and rehab services. I give 5 STARS to Pure Rehab!!!
Dr. Amy and the entire team at Pure Rehab are absolutely fantastic! I initially sought Dr. Amy's help for a calf injury I assumed was running-related. However, she skillfully diagnosed the real issue: inadequate rehab following a past surgery.
When I thought my PT knee surgery recovery would not get me back to normal or anywhere close, I then was referred to Amy. Amy assessed, listened, diagnosed, and prescribed exactly the exercises needed to counter my issues. She carefully watches how you move to determine the causes of the problems.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
