From the reviews

I cannot recommend Pulling Down the Moon’s prenatal massages enough. Both Sydney and Meredith are magic. Ive been getting one every 2-3 weeks during my third trimester and they’ve kept my aches and pains at bay. Their prenatal massages are truly pregnancy specific vs just pregnancy safe.

Love love Christina!! She was very thorough with explaining the whole acupuncture process. I loved the fact how she was explaining what she was doing and what to expect. She carefully listened to my concerns and understood what I wanted out of the session. I’m so glad I chose this facility for acupuncture!

This was my first experience with acupuncture and Christina was wonderful! She took the time to get to know me and my needs and ensure that I felt comfortable throughout the entire process. Christina radiates positivity and it was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend her services.

I had a wonderful experience with Christine at the Highland Park office. I was having a RA flare and back pain. After acupuncture I was not in pain anymore and moving much better. Thanks.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
