From the reviews

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lupus and had two ongoing issues, with my neck and one knee. My neck was quite stiff and my knee felt unstable, especially when negotiating stairs.

I love Puget Sound Acupuncture and I'm so grateful to have found Dylan! Over the past two years, Dylan has addressed many of my issues - knee pain, lower back pain, shoulder mobility after a surgery, fertility, migraines, headaches, stress and anxiety - using a combination of acupuncture, cupping, and herbs.

★★★★★ — Melissa, Nov 2023

Dylan is the BEST! I've worked with him at 3 different offices, following him around Seattle because he's so good at honing in on my issues and giving me the acupuncture, cupping, and Chinese herbs to help all my ailments. From stress and anxiety to physical aches and pains, Dylan's got you covered.

★★★★★ — Seren, Jul 2023

I had severe pain and lack of range in motion in my shoulder before going to Puget Sound Acupuncture. Dylan has been doing acupuncture and cupping on my shoulder and over time it has relieved the pain, calmed the muscle spasms, and I have my range of motion back.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
