From the reviews
If I could give more than five stars, I would. I don’t often leave reviews, and this one is long overdue. I’m an endurance athlete with a long history of old injuries that I could never fully get over.
Dr. Bowman has been working with my son for roughly a year and has helped him recover from two different baseball related injuries; helping him to avoid surgery with one of them. One injury was a dislocated patella and the other is due to labrum issues in his shoulder from pitching.
I have had both chiropractic and massage therapy for over 40 years and I have never felt better since becoming a patient of Dr. Bowman. I have nothing but praise for his techniques for treatment. I have also had sports massage with Zach and he is effective and precise in understanding and addressing your issues.
Dr. Bowman is highly skilled at figuring out your problem and then creating a plan to either fix it or manage it. I came to him with plantar fasciitis and by following his plan consisting of wrapping, stretches and exercises, I am now pain free! Zach Silva is a gifted massage therapist that works in tandem with Dr.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
