Why Progressive Mobility Physio & Performance is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “use to introduce a stimulus to a trigger point or affected group of muscles to decrease tightness, increase blood flow, and reduce pain. A very effective tool in the belt to prepare your body for exercise and movement. Cupping Use of…” source →

From the reviews

I came to Jenn and brett after tearing my Achilles tendon in April of 2024. I was told by my surgeon it would be 12 months before I would be back to “normal”. I sought someone out that would accelerate that timeline to 6-9mo and that’s exactly what progressive mobility did for me.

★★★★★ — Taylor, Jul 2025

I highly recommend Progressive Mobility in Spartanburg for physical therapy. I came in for help with ongoing hip pain that was limiting my mobility and activity level.

(Updated 3/24/26) I can’t recommend Dr. Brett at Progressive Mobility enough! I came in dealing with chronic pain and mobility issues in my shoulder and neck that were really holding me back. From the very first visit, Dr.

I can't say enough about the team at Progressive Mobility !!! I called and talked to them after my 12 year old daughter had a flare up of a recurring knee/ankle injury that we couldn't seem to get answers about from other places.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
