From the reviews
Dan, Gabby, Greg, Patricia and the whole team at Yorktown ProCilnix are amazing at what they do. Dan took the time to answer all my questions and address my concerns throughout my time at physical therapy. The program was individualized to my interests and needs to keep weightlifting.
My Recovery Secret Weapon–ProClinix I’ve been through orthopedic surgeries before, but this time, I had a secret advantage: pre-hab. Beginning physical therapy before my operations gave me a head start that made all the difference.
From the moment I called ProClinix, I knew I was in good hands. Having never been to physical therapy, I didn't know what to expect. Patricia explained, organized, scheduled, and dealt with insurance and prescriptions. She's a rock star as well as the pleasant face that greets you upon arrival. Dr.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting ProClinix Yorktown for total hip replacement recovery, and I can't recommend it enough! The expertise and care provided by Dr. Shara and Dr. Gabrielle were truly exceptional.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
