From the reviews

Jen is not your usual massage therapist. She is a highly trained, incredibly gifted medical massage therapist, a true healer. She knows anatomy like a doctor. She really listens to you as you tell her what hurts, asks pertinent questions, and then proceeds to use her limitless knowledge to help you heal.

After getting a recommendation for a massage therapist, I began seeing Jen a few years ago. As soon as you walk in, you see how welcoming and calming her waiting area and massage rooms are. I look forward to my weekly visits as the massages definitely help relieve any tension or stiffness I feel.

Jen is fantastic. Truly one of the best LMTs I’ve ever been to! I’ve been a massage therapist myself for 10+ years, and so I’ve had a lot of massages! Her quality of touch is outstanding and attention to detail really makes the session; I leave the room each time both relaxed and feeling like a million bucks, like…

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
