From the reviews
I recently moved the area and have been getting regular massages for over a decade, so finding a good massage therapist was super important. I just had my first appointment with Katie and knew right away I found my new therapist.
Katie is very skilled and professional. I have been seeing her for several months and always look forward to my next appointment. She always listens to my explanations of what’s wrong and then tailors her work and focus accordingly.
Exceptional Massage Experience with Katie at Pomegranate Woods. I had the pleasure of receiving a massage from Katie at Pomegranate Woods, and it was an outstanding experience.
I found Katie via Facebook, early this year. I am not real comfortable trying a new massage therapist, but I liked the way she presented herself and her business Pomegranate Wood. I decided to give her a try, from the moment I met her in person, I felt very comfortable with her.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
