I went to Platinum Physical Therapy in Maynard, MA for a partial calf tear that was also causing agonizing hip pain. Thanks to John, I'm almost back to normal after only two months post-injury! John was a phenomenal physical therapist.

After injuring a foot tendon playing tennis and being in a boot for over a month I was in need of PT. Platinum PT Maynard took me in right away whereas my foot doctors list of places were booked up with a 2-3 week wait. John Fava was great!
I no longer have vertigo and that is 100% due to John Fava’s excellent care and treatment at the 141 Parker St., Maynard location of Platinum Physical Therapy. John has extensive, specialized training in treating vertigo. He also gave me exercises to do at home in between treatments.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
