From the reviews
I've been doing PT and dry needling with Cassie for a few weeks after two unrelated injuries that happened at the gym. I initially came in with a sprain in my quad. She immediately had me doing strengthening exercises, cupping and dry needling--helped tremendously.
Pivot as provided me the best care and treatment of my lumbar and hip injuries that I’ve experienced in the past 10 years. After years of chiropractic care with not much improvement, I decided to try physical therapy. Well, it’s been a game changer for me.
I absolutely adore everyone who works here. Not one single member of staff has ever shown me unkindness or any inconsideration. Each appointment due to my pain, I come in and I’m not feeling great.
I certainly would recommend Pivot (Aberdeen location) to anyone trying to achieve result for his/her injury. Staff members are very professional right from the front reception to therapists hands on. Katie and the crew that worked with me were very gentle and well knowledgeable with therapy care.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
