What clients say about the cupping here
“Extremely professional, wonderfully relaxing and clean facility.”
From the reviews
Extremely professional, wonderfully relaxing and clean facility. I’m an Ultrasound Technologist, and Sheryl is amazing at working the knots and stiffness out of my overworked and stressed muscles. I need deep tissue, but she is incredibly skilled at all message techniques and pressure preferences.
I've been going to Equipoise Soul and Bodywork for several years for a hip injury. Sheryl is an exceptional massage therapist and was instrumental during my recovery for hip replacement surgery. I highly recommend her.
Sheryl has an amazing gift that she shares openly and lovingly with all her clients. She is very connected to mind, body, and soul relationships and knows how to elevate a person to their best version of themselves.
Sheryl is very accommodating and a skilled masseuse. She always listens to my personal needs, and has a beautiful studio.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
