From the reviews
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly Recommend Scott – Exceptional Partner in Athletic Performance Scott has been an incredible asset in helping my son overcome persistent lower‑back deep muscle issues. He took the time to truly understand the root cause and used targeted manipulation and cupping to get him back to optimal health.
Scott was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained everything he was doing and reviewed my work set up to help reduce my pain. The exercises he provided were helpful and the dry needling and cupping made a huge difference for my muscle pain. He was also great at communicating and following up on my treatment.
Scott is a rare breed in the PT world. He recognizes that our current model of insurance-based rehab reduces patients to a number and a time slot, and leads to injuries and issues down the road. By giving you dedicated 1-on-1 care, he helps you make a gameplan for recovery and overcome any issues along the way.
So happy to have found Pittsburgh Osteopractic. Scott was so knowledgeable and helpful with my calf injury. After one session of electro dry needling and some soft tissue work I was able to return quickly to my sport pain free.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
