What clients say about the cupping here
“We are managing some pretty intense nerve and other back issues, as well as migraines, and it is clear that Jamie listens, is knowledgeable, skilled, and cares.”
“I've only been there for yoga so far but they have great programs, are welcoming and are very reasonably priced.”
From the reviews
working with Dennis on some myofascial release therapy. Having been a chiropractor for 30 years, it’s nice to find someone who really knows what they are doing. Highly recommend.
I've only been there for yoga so far but they have great programs, are welcoming and are very reasonably priced. Even though I had never done yoga before, I didn't feel out of place. I continue to go as my schedule allows.
I had an absolutely fabulous massage experience with Jamie! She was incredibly attentive, communicative, and knowledgeable, ensuring that every aspect of my treatment was tailored to my needs.
I love everything about PhysiYo: from the physical therapy, to the yoga classes, to the massage, and Encompass training! Christina, Dennis, Patty, Toni, Jamie, and the whole staff are so caring and helpful. It’s really a sanctuary for health and wellness.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
