From the reviews
I came to Pelvic Health PT after seeing a prior therapist for chronic pelvic floor issues a couple of years ago with limited results. All the therapists here are excellent, and they take a whole body, holistic approach to treatment.
After having a prostatectomy, I had a difficult time finding pelvic floor therapy for men in my local area. My urologist recommended the Pelvic Health Center and despite the 45-minute drive, I decided to give them a try. I have been coming here for several months now and always enjoy my appointments.
UPDATE, three months after working with Dee: i'm convinced the only reason i'm not in pain and am able to use the bathroom during pregnancy is because of working with Dee.
I receive Pelvic Floor Therapy at the Pelvic Health Center in Madison, NJ to improve and manage my urological health. I am very grateful for the care and understanding that I am given by my therapist Ms. Shannon Strauch who is dedicated to help me achieve my goals.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
