Why peakptwellness is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “up sessions scheduled after the initial evaluation and lead by a licensed physical therapist assistant. These sessions are tailored to address the individual needs and goals of the client and can include: pain control (cupping, electrical…” source →

“We can't thank Peak PT Wellness enough for everything they did to help our son get back on his feet and back to playing sports after being extremely sick and bed bound for months.”

From the reviews

I cannot say enough good things about Peak PT and Wellness. Laurel was phenomenal. My 1st diagnosis from an Orthopedic Dr in Wooster was to do PT for 4-6 weeks then he would do a ‘reversal complete replacement’ of my shoulder. I went to Laurel to see about a second opinion.

★★★★★ — Lynn, Apr 2026

We received the absolute best care for our son, post ACL surgery. Laurel and Schuyler went above and beyond always positive and upbeat. Laurel also helped us navigate the return to play process and often communicated with the surgeon for us. Very professional but yet very comfortable environment!

★★★★★ — Heidi, Apr 2024

When I first came to Peak after my ACL reconstruction, I immediately felt the welcoming environment that Peak provides. Laurel and Schuyler were very communicative and made the recovery process seamless. They pushed me throughout recovery to new limits and made me a better, well rounded athlete!

★★★★★ — Natalie, Apr 2024

As a parent of an athlete who has torn their ACL, Peak has become our second home. Laurel and Schuyler are top notch, kind and caring. They always have our best interest at heart, always on point with making sure we understand at home therapy. Thankful to share this journey with Peak.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
