From the reviews
Best massage studio I've been to! I have had the pleasure of going to Cate for my massage therapy deep tissue bodywork for half a year now, and she has achieved amazing results and changes in my body composition in that time. Her specialized medical massage technique targets my main compliant.
I was referred over by my chiropractor, and I was very thankful for the recommendation. I have scheduled with both Joey and Cate. Both of them are very gifted therapist. They listen, and are egar to help. I always leave felling better than when I walked in.
Peak Valley is AMAZING!!! I went to Cate initially for my shoulder. I couldn't even lift my arm to take my shirt off. Within just a few sessions my shoulder was working normally again. She kept working on it just to make sure it was good.
Early this year my trusted chiropractors, Elemental Chiropractic, referred me to Peak Valley Bodywork. With a strong preference towards female practitioners, I was a little nervous to meet with Joey for the first time. However, his weekend hours were way too convenient, so I took the leap.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
