From the reviews

I wanna take a minute to recommend two awesome local businesses 😎. I don’t get a ton of free time or time away from the shop, so when I do I try to make it count, my back was in excruciating pain the last week or so and Gantz Chiropractic straightened me out but my lower back was still extremely tense and sore which…

I had my first cupping experience with Justin. He explains the procedure well before, during, and after the session. I had some pain and soreness at my neck and mid back, and I felt a significant relief afterwards. I especially liked the technique where he was massaging while moving the cups around.

Today was the second massage I’ve had at Peak Performance. The first was with Justin, who was great all around. Today I had Jaquan, who was also fantastic! Very professional, great technique with the right “tools” to get the job done. Light hearted atmosphere! Definitely worth your visit and money.

★★★★★ — Morgan, Jul 2025

Jaquan Mundy is amazing at athlete focused massages along with the casual massage. He knows exactly how to target tight spots, improve recovery, and get your body feeling right again. Super professional, super effective.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
