The whole experience was wonderful. The staff was welcoming. The waiting area was quiet and peaceful. The rooms were clean and relaxing. My therapist was Carson and she did a great job in listening to my concerns and explaining the treatment and even assured me that the cupping massage was appropriate for my issues.
I had my very first deep tissue massage yesterday at Peaceful Kneads Massage and it was amazing. It was painful but amazing, lol. I knew that I was probably carrying more stress in my body than I realized but wow, did it make a difference. I feel so much lighter today as a result.
Loved my experience at Peaceful Kneads! Kenny listened to my concerns, asked questions about what problem areas I wanted him to focus on, and tailored the massage to what I wanted. I got couples massages for our anniversary. I've never had a massage before. So I have nothing to compare it to but I don't think that matters. It was absolutely amazing! It was so nice. Flowers. Sparkling wine. Tiny cakes. And Kenny and Erline did an amazing job. Attending the areas we wanted. They were super nice.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
