From the reviews

I have been a neuro client of Alyson’s for a few months now and as someone who has been in & out of physical therapy for the past 8 years, it feels important to share that this experience has been very different than any PT I’ve experienced prior. Most of what I’ve experienced before has been repair of injuries.

This is a professionally run clinic with very nice staff. They do their absolute best to accommodate the patient's schedule. My therapist, Jennifer, listened carefully to me and was attentive.

★★★★☆ — Catherine, Dec 2025

Best physical therapists in SLO county! All very kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. The support staff are all also very helpful and friendly. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else or recommend anyone other than them! 10/10 every time!

★★★★★ — Aubrey, Oct 2022

I’ve just started with Paso Robles PT. In working with Alyson Amenta, I found her to be very professional, experienced and well trained. Although I just started with this office, I have found them very efficient & well organized.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
