I am a high risk labor and delivery nurse and was recommended to Dr. Wei by a physician that I work with. I recently had major hip surgery after years of sports abuse. For 6 weeks, I wore a full leg brace, crutches with no weight bearing. After 6 weeks, it was time to learn to walk again. It was then that I met Dr.
I arrived to my appointment a mess. My headaches had been SO bad for weeks and no amount of medication could do anything. A friend suggested finding an acupuncture clinic. I was SO LUCKY to find Dr Wei. After one treatment I was considerably better.
Dr. Wei is so amazing!! Her staff is also very kind, always giving you a great service. Her facility is very spacious, clean and so relaxing!! Dr Wei has been a miracle worker on my whiplash that I had not done proper rehab five years ago after an accident. What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
