Marsha is magical and professional! I've experienced Deep Feet Barre Therapy, Hot Stone Massage and Massage Cupping with her. She's very knowledgable and experienced in all of these areas. Happy to be a "regular" in her beautiful space.
Marsha is the only massage therapist I recommend to people. I have the bad habit of booking massages mostly when I’m in pain. And Marsha always sorts it out. Every time. She is incredibly strong and knows just the right amount of pressure and where to work . Add to that, just being in her presence is healing.
I've been going to massage therapists since I was 16 for various dance related injuries, and Marsha is without a doubt the best of the best. She is adept at assessing what your muscles need and adapting her approach accordingly, and her expertise has saved me from loads of neck and back pain.
Marsha is a massage master! The facility is clean and relaxing and such a pleasant environment so the minute you walk in you are set up for success. Marsha is great at feeling out what really needs work and is great at giving me advice on essential oils that will help as well as working on my problem areas.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
