“After I recovered from my back injury, I continued to work with Chris and his team through a maintenance package of supervised exercises, laser and dry needling mostly focused on my chronic left knee.”

From the reviews
I highly recommend OrthoWelll physical therapy in Newburyport. Chris and his team ( Cam and Ivan ) are extremely knowledgeable and professional, and provide a very targeted approach to improving your situation. I initially went in for shoulder pain, and improved sufficiently to cancel a scheduled operation.
I began PT at Orthowell in Newburyport after suffering an extremely painful lower back injury. Normally my weekends include hiking, running, surfing or snowboarding. I am typically a very active person and when I injured my lower back last summer, it was painful to even bend down to pick something up off the floor.
I started working with Chris almost 4 years ago after I hurt my back moving house. Chris guided me through a steady recovery over several months and I was able to be back on the golf course without pain before the end of the season. I especially liked the different treatment modalities that Chris used.
From my first visit to OrthoWell, I've been so pleased with the PT services they provide. This is not only the friendliest office, it is also one of the most professional and well organized practices I've ever experienced. Chris and his team (Teresa and Ivan) make a point of getting to know their patients.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
