I don't recall how I first came in the doors of Optimal Health. Maybe it was luck, but it was a very good thing for me. I have worked with a half dozen doctors in his field and Glenn is among the best I have worked with. If I were still in the Monterey area I would surely be a regular customer.
Worked with Glenn for 6 months to fix my gut with an herbal protocol and restricted diet protocol. Difficult to do but worth the effort. This was the most effective holistic approach I found in 10 years. Before, I couldn’t eat any wheat dairy or egg without intense reaction.
This is my first time at Optimal Health Acupuncture. Glen Sadowsky is professional friendly. The atmosphere is welcoming relaxing... Oooh and you get free quality tea. I was in therapy for <40 min> I was so relax with the music and needless that I felt to sleep.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
