“He is incredibly thorough in assessing your health at each appointment and asks lots of questions to really understand what is going on.”
From the reviews
It has taken me years to find the right Acupuncture Doctor that really resolves my issues I have with my body. Dr. Jooman Lee truly knows how to approach my condition with acupuncture, cupping and acupressure.
I have been receiving acupuncture treatments for several years from various practitioners in the Monterey area find Dr. Lee's abilities to have more affect than any other I have experienced. He and Dr Shin have a subtle ability to find whatever is blocked in my body and open it leaving me feeling refreshed and clear.
One of the best acupuncturists I have ever been to. They incorporate acupressure massage with acupuncture, which is holistically healing. All of the staff are very caring and knowledgeable.
Dr. Lee and his team is absolutely wonderful. He is incredibly thorough in assessing your health at each appointment and asks lots of questions to really understand what is going on. He genuinely cares about his patients! I cannot recommend them enough.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
