From the reviews
I had such a great experience with Wendy at Ongoing Renewal! I originally met her at an event where she was offering chair massages, and it was honestly one of the BEST chair massages I’ve ever received—which convinced me to book a full session with her.
Wendy is professional, compassionate and the most skilled medical massage therapist I have ever experienced. Her skills have resulted in some of the most effective results I have ever had from a massage! She goes out of her way to educate and promote total wellness.
This was my first time seeing Wendy, I was referred to her by my place of employment. Also this was the first time I had a therapeutic massage and let me tell you, it worked wonders on my site of pain which was mainly my right shoulder. Her facility was calm and relaxing so it set a good tone to start my first session.
I absolutely love Ongoing Wellness! I get a massage every other week from Juana, and she is amazing. She always knows exactly how to help me feel better, and I leave every session with real relief. The facility is cozy, super clean, and beautifully decorated, creating a relaxing atmosphere from the moment you walk in.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
