From the reviews

I began seeing Libby after being diagnosed with gastroparesis over a year and a half ago. I was no longer able to eat most foods, vomiting anywhere up to 3 times a day, and was consistently losing 1 or 2 pounds daily for about a month.

I have been going to Nurture Whole Health for a few years now for a variety of reasons and I’ve always left with results. Most recently I’ve managed my pregnancy with Nurture. Hedy helped me conceive, through early first trimester nausea and is now helping get labor induced since I’m at my due date.

★★★★★ — Elli, Oct 2022

I found Libby in my last two months of pregnancy. This was my first birth and I had my heart set on a natural, vaginal birth with no epidural. Libby absolutely understood all of my goals and provided me with sessions that focused on increasing my stamina, and pain tolerance.

★★★★★ — Lena, Oct 2019

Libby has been a wonderful partner in caring for patients struggling with infertility and pelvic pain. We love sending patients her way and co-managing them together to get them closer their health goals. If you are looking for thoughtful, evidence based accupuncture care - look no further!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
