From the reviews
I have been to other community acupuncture places and can honestly say this one is so great! They even use a heat lamp to warm your feet. It’s a little spa like slice of heaven. The acupuncturist Julles is absolutely terrific. She is knowledgeable and professional and seems to really care.
I HIGHLY recommend NSCA!! I've always added acupuncture to my health care. Life keeps us going but ultimately with a price...in trying to keep up with our busy schedules, we forget our mental, emotional and physical care needs and acupuncture has proven to me over and over again that if I take time out for just 1…
It is not an exaggeration to say that Stephanie at North Shore Community Acupuncture changed my life. Aside from addressing aches and pains, she has put me on an acupuncture protocol of true mental health healing and support. She is kind, empathic, listens with intent, and is a highly talented acupuncturist.
So attentive to your needs. Clean, peaceful and quiet. Beth is amazing and because of her extensive training. She listens. She's smart. She prepares. She explains where the pain could be coming from and she's safe. Not only is there a community room, but there are two private rooms with full tables and heat lamps.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
