From the reviews

As someone with a fear of needles, I was reluctant to try acupuncture. After seeing Marcy White at Copley Acupuncture, I am now converted! At each session, Marcy personalized her approach, drawing on her decades of experience in functional medicine, and a breadth of modalities – from acupuncture, to cupping, to laser…

★★★★★ — Janet, Aug 2025

Marcy is an incredibly thoughtful and skilled acupuncturist. Her sessions feel completely customized, and her calm, grounding presence immediately puts you at ease. She helped tremendously with headaches using a blend of acupuncture, cupping, and gua sha (sp?), always taking a whole-person approach to healing.

★★★★★ — Kate, May 2026

I've been seeing Marcy for about a year and a half, and I can't recommend her highly enough. She is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely cares about her patients' well-being. From the very first appointment, she made me feel comfortable with her friendly, welcoming personality and positive energy.

★★★★★ — Vicky, Jun 2026

I originally went to Marcy for chronic migraines that had become debilitating. I was already on medication, but it wasn’t helping much. After just one month of regular acupuncture sessions, I noticed a huge difference.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
