From the reviews
I have been struggling for many years with health issues. My family doctor would send me to specialists who treated each individual symptom with a new medication. On top of not feeling well from the physical issues I started getting more stressed from not knowing what was causing me to be sick all the time.
I've been a long time client of Diem's for Acupuncture. But recently she and her brother Dr. Vu Nguyen (an internist) have teamed up and opened Sage Integrative Medicine and Wellness, bringing the best of both worlds together. This is a whole new way for me to look at medicine.
Dr. Vu and Diem are incredible practitioners and my husband and I are so thankful to have found them. We unfortunately had to stop our monthly subscription due to relocation and changes in our budget but the education we received from both providers was invaluable. I had been seeing Diem for years and Dr.
Sage Wellness has a culture of community and 100% devotion to your wellness. You can feel it the moment you walk in the door. Their staff goes above and beyond to listen and care for your overall health.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
