From the reviews

I love taking my CEUs here:) Always a huge variety of classes with amazing instructors. Larry is one of my favorite LMT''s in the business. He is a fabulous caring teacher and always brings his A game to class. Larry also brings in the best instructors I just took a cupping class with Jim Earley.

I am in chronic pain and the only thing that helps me feel better is massage. Unfortunately, I have been to many places including chains that not only increase my pain but do not know how to cater to my individual needs. Often, I am provided with a traditional massage and it doesn't really do anything.

I highly recommend New Jersey Massage, which I have been going to for years. I see Larry Heisler on a weekly basis for a 1.5 hour massage, and I benefit greatly from it. My chronic neck and shoulder pain is now a thing of the past.

I 'met' Larry 30 years ago on the phone, and our encounter changed my life to this day! He invited me to his meditation class and this discipline is now a key component in my life. I studied massage for two years and that awareness broadened my experience of being in a human body.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
