From the reviews
I've been a patient at Nature's Gift Acupuncture for several years, starting with Dr. Qianlei and then continuing with Dr. Yen while Dr. Qianlei was on maternity leave. (Dr. Yen has since opened her own clinic in Florida, but I wanted to include her in this review.
Qianlei is a wonderful practitioner and Nature’s Gift is truly a gift for what ails you! Every time you come in, she takes the time to listen and assess how you’re feeling before performing your treatment. Her space is peaceful and welcoming, and I leave every time feeling refreshed.
I have been working with Qianlei for over 2 years, and I was thrilled when she opened her own clinic, Nature's Gift Acupuncture! When I first came to her for acupuncture and TCM, I was dealing with severe insomnia, migraines, an overactive nervous system, and overall joint pains.
Qianlei is amazing! The first visit is a very thorough review of everything that is going on in your life and body followed by an acupuncture session, and every appointment starts with a review and a series of questions to ensure the session focuses on what you need.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
