From the reviews
After many trips to many doctors who didn’t believe I was sick and didn’t listen to me but prescribed drugs (that had disastrous results) anyway, I found Janine and Nature’s Balance. Janine listened to me and concluded that my immune system had crashed and my nervous system had followed.
Janine is wonderful and attentive. Very intelligent and highly experienced in this holistic field. I feel confident with her and I always leave feeling better! I came to her out of desperation last year after getting diagnosed with Bell’s palsy.
This place is AMAZING! Pain doctor couldn’t help me, physical therapy couldn’t help me, but Janine was able to get me mobile in a few sessions. Still going there as I get better every time, but I went from being laid up in a recliner in pain for over 3 weeks in July to now being able to function.
Janine is amazing! I have been struggling for five years with menopausal symptoms, arthritis, exhaustion, vision issues and more. I started seeing Janine in January. She listened to me about my struggles, did appropriate testing and was able to find out what was wrong with me.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
