From the reviews

My daughter was getting acupuncture for some pregnancy related issues last fall and told me I needed to go. I've suffered with migraines for so many years - sometimes up to two weeks a month. So I went to see them and Dr Dominic was the first practitioner to ever give me hope. He said, "I can help you". And he did.

★★★★★ — Sarah, Jun 2023

I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, and over the past 2 years, no other doctor has been able to do for me what they have done in the last few months. I was tired, irritable, cranky, and just didn't feel good. After the first appointment with Dr. Dominic, even my family could tell a difference in my behavior.

★★★★★ — Jenny, Feb 2022

I came to this clinic with intense pain in my hip, neck, and upper back. I’ve been living with chronic pain from scoliosis and finally decided to seek help. I’m so glad I did, and especially with Natural Life! The difference that my body feels, on a consistent basis, is priceless.

★★★★★ — Mika, Apr 2022

After getting Bell's Palsy over 3 years ago and not regaining full mobility on my face, I decided to try acupuncture as a last resort. This place came highly recommended by some friends and was in-network with my insurance.

Booking hijama (wet cupping) at Natural Life Acupuncture and Wellness

Natural Life Acupuncture and Wellness comes up as a provider that offers hijama — wet cupping, where the skin is lightly punctured after suction so a small amount of blood is drawn. If you're booking hijama specifically, a few things are worth asking before you go. First, sterility is everything — a reputable practitioner uses a fresh, single-use kit (new blades and cups) for every client and follows clean, gloved technique. It's completely fair to ask how they handle this. Second, many people booking hijama want a same-gender practitioner — a female practitioner is available here. Third, ask about aftercare and whether they observe particular days if that matters to you.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
