From the reviews
I enjoyed both of my sessions here on the same day -- excellent exquisitely gentle chiropractic care from Lana Hutnick, and acupuncture + cupping from the equally exquisite Robin Hays!! I love how Lana has this extremely gentle manner even while doing adjustments...
My review is long overdue! I have been treated by Robin for almost 3 years for back/hip pain, stress and anxiety, and most recently skin issues. I cannot express how remarkable my experience is at each visit. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking an effective and healing acupuncture experience.
I’ve been going to Robin for a few years now but her service gave me the most relief most recently when I had a sprained knee. I went to see her and my knee was healed, and happy for this alternative over a cortizone shot! Her office is pleasant as well as her technique.
Robin Hays acupuncture in Milpitas is great. She treats patients very well. Very skilled and with very positive outcomes. I was sent to her by Orthopedic surgeon at O’Connor hospital couple of years ago, and I have benefitted immensely from therapy by Robin.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
