Why Nashua Acupuncture Center is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “to rebalance their body and mind. During a private session acupuncture treatment, a patient may also receive additional therapeutic modalities to address his/her main complaint such as electro-acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping and gua sha.…” source →

From the reviews

I've been a client of Nashua Acupuncture for 11 years. Originally I went for migraines and arthritis. I've experienced so much relief in terms of physical pain and have been treated for a variety of health issues. What keeps me coming back is the emotional well being I feel EVERY time I leave the office.

Relaxing treatment. Kind & courteous Service. I always look forward to my Acupuncture appointment in the historic Landmark Building of Nashua.

Amanda is truly outstanding in her field. I initially sought out acupuncture to support my fertility treatments. As I was researching local acupuncture, I noticed that many listed “women’s health/fertility” as a specialty, but the acupuncturists were not ABORM (Acupuncture & TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine)…

I highly recommend Amanda and her team! After my weekly sessions, I consistently feel so much better. Amanda is incredibly knowledgeable and kind, and her team is always polite and welcoming. Each visit is a positive experience, and I feel lucky to have found her. I look forward to my appointments every week!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
